Are you looking for a small Italian town


that is located on steep white cliffs with


a great view of the Bay of Naples?


 


Sorrento is very popular due to its location


to Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii


and Herculaneum.


 


The town has a number of artistic and culture


sites including the Chiostro (Cloister) of St. Francis,


Correale Museum, the Basilica of Saint Antonino,


and the Duomo (cathedral) church.


 


The hotels are located in the town center or on


the Via del Campo, which is about 3 kilometers


west of the town center.


 


The Villa Maria is located in Sorrento near the


Piazza Tasso and close to the beach.

the mountains.

The cuisine of Sorrento has a number of seafood dishes


including spider crab soup, lobster, sauted shrimp and

All dishes are finished off with a local extra virgin olive oil


and fine wines from the region.


 


The Marina Piccola is where the ferries and hydrofoil arrive


from Capri and Naples and you will have to climb about


200 steps to reach the piazza.
